The reasons why branding is such an important part of any company…

Apps runs the show

Being creative comes naturally when you don’t have to add pressure because of a deadline. In Altha Affra we have come up with the idea of keeping all our ideas in a Excel spreadsheet, this has made it easier for keeping track of what needs to be posted or where we left things last time. For the creative part of things we use multiple apps, one of those is Canva, for easy design for you social channels this is a great app to use.

Also for keeping track of what appointments we have use Family wall, here we can share appointments, timetables, to do lists, make and keep track of budgets for upcoming events or trips, and keep track of our clients contact details. That has been an amazing add on to our work and personal life and all of that just for €4.99 a month.

Between keeping socials under control and having clients its sometimes can get hard to keep track of how much cost you make and what do you pay to taxes or what do we get in return, can I add my car cost? Maybe the coffee and carrot cake we had during a business meeting? We have made this easier on ourselves by using e-boekhouden. Amazing when you live in the Netherlands, all documents and invoices in one place and the taxes returns are super easy to use, also the give you mini courses to learn how to use anything. The website and the app can both be installed in English as well.

All of the apps and programs to make our dreams come true might be a lot but it keeps things where they need to be and gives us more time to enjoy the rise of Altha Affra.

Software update your brain

Taking a step back is hard, but why is it well needed from time to time. Not too long ago we took a step back from our daily life just so we could recharge our mindset before embarking on our new journey as Altha Affra.

We took a break from working nights almost 200 hours a month, we took a break from all social media and electronics and we just took time to appreciate nature.

This gave us time to be thankful for the simple things in life, the fresh air, walking through a forest, amazing food grown and prepared locally. After a very long time making new connections old-school by just meeting new people and having a conversation, disconnecting from social media.

Taking that step back gave us the time to put things in perspective and helped us realize what we wanted to accomplish with Altha Affra. This gave us the time to fully recharge being locked and loaded for the new things in life that awaited us.

Our advice to anyone is ; in life we all get use to the so called "automatic pilot " and tend to forget that the same as you need to recharge a phone or laptop we too need a software reset. When going through something or you can't seem to get rid of the drained feeling after a long day of work, take a moment just to stand still. The earth is always revolving, we don't have to! Standing still can really open unknown potential of yours that has being lying dormant just waiting to be downloaded into your daily life.

Altha means something great

How did it all start?

In our day to day lives and daily routines we sometimes tend to forget what truly makes us happy. In October of 2022, I had taken a trip to the south of the Netherlands to a place called Valkenburg, while there I had the wildest awakening. Together with Tashi, the CEO of Altha Affra, we decided that we were done with doing nothing for our future. We both are very happy working a fulltime job at a well-known hotel in Amsterdam, but we wanted more.

That is when we decided that we wanted to put both our skills to better use, our vision for Altha Affra was born. Altha Affra is named after Tashi’s granny whose first name was Altha Gracia, secondly we both love working with people, companies , doing research and making sure that one’s product or brand can be made the best it can be.

We both want to build a legacy that we can leave behind for our loved ones but more so something that we can be proud of, our mission is to build Altha Affra into a company that is big and strong enough to provide jobs for those around us because we both believe that we all rise together by helping each other climb to the top. The goal is to be growing strong. In 2 years from now we would have already added 3 more colleagues to our team and with the years moving forward that will keep growing.

Based on Tashi’s amazing eye for detail and numbers, add my talents for sales and digital design to it and we both become a force to be reckoned with. Having said that, I must be honest, starting your own company is far from a fantasy. Clients are not waiting to line up at your door, nor is it all easy from the start.

We work hard to achieve our goals, we had taken time to make sure everything was in place months before we walked into chambers of commerce to register the company. Even with the day to day struggle of falling ill, Covid making everyone uneasy to trust someone else with the livelihood of their company, investors having a lot more to ask and yet still they turn you down, we still put our best foot forward with Altha Affra. I mean at the end of the day it is not all bad either, meeting new people, learning new things every day, seeing the smile on customers faces when you explain how Altha Affra can make their brand grow or their product most desired.

Writing this blog was just to give you a little insight to how Altha Affra came to be and make you well aware of finding balance while doing what you love.
